Rob has worked in the Financial Service Industry since the late 1980’s and has been successfully delivering professional investment, insurance and financial planning advice to his many clients ever since. He and his wife Jan own Northumberland Wealth Management located on County Road #2, where they are independent Financial Advisors for Raymond James Ltd. Extensive industry experience compliments his impressive credentials, including a Masters in Public Administration from Queens University, a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute designation, and the Certified Investment Manager certification. An active community participant, Rob has served on the board of the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce, with 2008 marking his term as President. Rob sits on the finance committee of the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation and has been involved with numerous United Way campaigns as well as other community service organizations.


Paul Burnham

A graduate of the University of Guelph, B Sc. Agriculture, Paul currently farms 470 acres of cash crop and market garden crops. Paul is a recipient of the “Conservation Farm” award from Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association, Agribusiness of the Year and a YMCA Peace Award (with wife Anne). Paul brings extensive committee experience to the Board, including the Northumberland Federation of Agriculture (Director), Northumberland Soil and Crop Improvement Association (Director, Past President), Rural Ramble (Chair and founding member) and the Cobourg Farmer’s Market Association (President). Paul’s agricultural experience and outlook expands the Board’s knowledge and influence in the community and enables him to liaise between the Cobourg & District Chamber of Commerce and the agriculture community to bring issues of concern to both groups.

Sarah Jacob practices law with SMM Law Professional Corporation in Cobourg. The firm serves residents of Northumberland County in the areas of estate administration, wills and powers of attorney, family law, small business law, civil litigation, residential and commercial real estate, employment law and pension law. After living and working in Thunder Bay and Toronto, Sarah moved to Cobourg in 2001. She is a member of the Cobourg Rotary Club. The law firm is an active supporter of Northumberland United Way, the Help Centre, Habitat for Humanity, and the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation.

With over 25 years experience in graphic design and print, Patricia is the owner of “Sidestreet Graphics” in addition to a full-time marketing and advertising career with Metroland Group of Newspapers. Patricia lends a strong business connection to the community and involvement in various community service efforts and organizations including Rotary, the Waterfront Festival Board, the Business Achievement Awards and a Director for Big Sisters/Big Brothers Northumberland

Bruce McCartney was born in Trinidad W.I., and moved to West Island Montreal in 1969 where he spent 20 years. In December of 1989 he moved to Cobourg to spearhead the merger of Kraft and General Foods Financial reporting systems. In his role with Kraft Canada he brings over 21 years experience in the area of Operations Finance, and his last role was that of Plant Controller. He is currently the Division Director of Investors Group Financial Services Inc. Cobourg. Investors Group is a national leader in delivering personalized financial solutions to nearly one million Canadians through a network of approximately 4,600 Consultants located throughout Canada. In addition to an exclusive family of mutual funds and other investment vehicles, Investors Group offers a wide range of insurance, securities, mortgage and banking services. A Certified Financial Planner, Bruce brings a wealth of Corporate and personalized financial knowledge, including his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation to support the growth of his client’s wealth.

A Fine Arts Graduate from York University, Don worked as a professional musician from 1969 until 1992, when he and his wife Carol became the owners and operators of the Oasis Restaurant. With 12 years of downtown business experience, Don is a restaurateur who introduces young adults to the workforce. As a result, Don has a fair and balanced approach to managing people, encouraging honest and good work habits and relationships with other employees and managers.

Greg migrated to Ontario after graduating from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1984. He has extensive experience in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation and is Founder/Director of Watton Employment Services Inc.


Sandra Webb

With ten years in private practice and over 25 years in Child Welfare, Sandra is a qualified Play Therapist, Theraplay Therapist, Sandtray-Worldplay work and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, as well as an international and domestic Adoption Practitioner including homestudies for families, working with birth mothers and supervising adoption placements. Sandra has experience with volunteer boards and committees including Canadian Play Therapy Association, Big Sisters, Northumberland Players, the Roseneath Fair and over three years as a Director on the Board of the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her Cobourg business, Sandra and her husband own a dairy farm in Roseneath, so she brings rural and urban perspectives to the board, in addition to her organizational skills, people skills and interest in business.
