GROUP INSURANCE
The Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance plan was developed with smaller firms in mind. It makes benefits available to firms of up to 50 employees, including coverage traditionally reserved for the largest employers. The plan offers a number of advantages over its competitors: virtually any business which has been in operation for at least six months is guaranteed eligible, the plan is affordable, the plan is run under the direction of a "not-for-profit" organization, premium rates show a track record of stable prices, the Chambers Plan offers guaranteed renewable coverage and delivers easy administration. MEMBERSHIP LISTINGS
Unlike many other business organizations, the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce does not sell or make available its "Membership Listing" to non-members. We believe that access to this information is an important benefit of Membership, and that it is a potential disservice to our members to provide contact information to transient sales agents who may be in direct competition with our own Members. Consumers in search of specific products or services are, of course, provided with relevant contact information. (See "Marketing & Promotion", "Referrals") Members can request complete listings at any time by emailing the Membership Services Committee. These listings are merged from the active database at the time of request, and are far more up-to-date, accurate and cost-efficient than the outmoded "Annual Directory".
BOARDROOM & OFFICE USAGE
The Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce has spacious and conveniently located offices in the lower level of the Northumberland Mall. Chamber Members requiring occasional "off-site" meeting space can choose from our large Boardroom (accommodating formal meetings of up to 20) and a fully furnished private office (suitable for smaller meetings, interviews, etc.). These facilities can be reserved for full or half days, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and are available to Members free of charge for up to one full day per year. If you require a caterer for your meeting, the Chamber staff will be happy to provide you with a list of Members offering that service - catering by non-members is not permitted.
